Lesson 2 in a series of lessons on simplifying expressions. This is a classic scenario where students are asked to find an expression for the perimeter of a shape. The powerpoint walks the students around the shapes and writes out the expression as we go. The fully differentiated resource allows students to write on the sheet (no need for drawing the shapes). One star is very basic with all sides having simple expressions. Two and three star have multi-term expressions on the edges and the rectangles have only the length and breadth shown.
