Year 3-6 Handwriting Statutory Spellings

Both of our statutory spelling handwriting books in one bundle: the Year 3/4 book and the Year 5/6 book (national curriculum in England, English Appendix 1). Every one of the 200 list entries is included and written out in full (213 words, 107 A4 pages in total).

Each book has:

• Warm-up letters a-z in 7 small families, each with a numbered start point and a direction arrow.
• 5 joins pages: up to a small letter, up to a tall letter, across from o, r, v and w, and letters with tails.
• Every statutory word, 5 per page: trace, trace a paler copy, then cover and write from memory.
• Every word on the list used in a short sentence, to trace and copy.
• A progress tracker with two circles per word.

Made for the photocopier: every tracing grey and guide line is darker than mid grey, and every page was tested as a 1-bit black-and-white copy. Print on A4, black and white is fine.

Use it across Key Stage 2, for a mixed-age class, or to give stronger Year 4 writers the Year 5/6 words.
