Year 5 Place Value - Rounding Numbers (4 Lessons)

Two sets of double lessons for Year 5 rounding, with one double lesson focusing on rounding to the nearest 10, 100 or 1000 and the second double focusing on rounding up to the nearest 100,000.

Included in each set of lessons is a double lesson PowerPoint which starts with an arithmetic starter for each lesson (based on key Year 4 objectives they would have focused on). The first lesson then includes a number of teaching points which are then recapped as part of the second lesson.

Also included is an activity that can be used over the double lesson, alongside challenge questions for anyone who has finished. Answer sheets are included for both.

All aspects can be easily edited and adapted but can also be used as it is to deliver two lessons for the objective.
