An extended Year 7 Spanish pack on the topic of pets (mascotas), designed as a longer independent-work session. Pupils work through a richer reading passage, a range of comprehension questions, translation tasks, and structured writing prompts to describe their own pet in detail.

Ideal for a full lesson where you need pupils working quietly on their own, for cover work with a non-specialist teacher, for a homework set over a week, or for revision before an assessment. Clean layout with clear instructions and no teacher explanation required.

What’s included: extended Spanish reading text about pets; 6-8 comprehension questions (in English and Spanish); sentence-level and short paragraph translation; sentence-builder and guided writing frame; vocabulary list for support; stretch questions for able learners.

Topics covered: mascotas (dogs, cats, fish, birds, rabbits, etc.), tener, ser, colour and size adjectives, adjective agreement, negatives (no tengo), and simple opinions (me gusta / no me gusta).

Curriculum fit: KS3 Year 7 Spanish - My life / Animals and pets. Editable Word document you can adapt for different ability groups.
