TES Maths Resource of the Week
What is it?
This detailed set of resources on algebraic graphs covers the breadth of the topic, from straight line graphs to quadratic and cubic graphs. It is a thorough unit of work, full of high quality PowerPoint presentations, worksheets and homework activities.
By having the complete unit of work, you get a good sense of the structure, pace and challenge of the lesson in a way that is not possible with a single resource.
How can it be used?
I think any resource should be adapted to suit individual needs, however I changed very little when using it with my Year 9 class, aside from adding in a few more probing questions. This series of lessons is well-structured and neatly presented, with plenty of accompanying material, so it is easy to make small changes to help your students.
This resource saved me hours of planning, and more importantly can give learners a solid understanding of what can be a notoriously difficult topic.
