Metro systems of the world

Metro systems of the world

This was always one of my favourite lessons to teach! I designed this one-of-a-kind, highly interactive lesson while teaching English as a Second Language in a Korean High School. The idea is to get all students comfortable practicing speaking in English and asking for directions. There is an overview of key transit-related vocabulary and opportunities for students to role play asking for directions. Features:-facts about metro systems around the world-fun quizzes for students to self-test throughout-guess the metro game-creative writing picture prompts -key transit vocabulary-key capital city vocabulary

Dungeon Directions - ESL Directions Board Game

Dungeon Directions - ESL Directions Board Game

A generic fantasy dungeon map I made for an ESL lesson about directions. The children used erasers as their pieces and then used thespecial made cards that gave them a direction to go with plus and minus moves. The start is in the center of the map and the winner is the first person to escape the dungeon from any side wins. Each student takes turns drawing a card to move. Reshuffle the cards when used up or you can print multiple sheets per game to decrease shuffle need and increase the random generation. The map is extremely high resolution for large printing purposes. I digitally painted the piece and gave it a retro pixel feel. I can also optionally email the tiles separately if desired. Each tile was painted 200x200 pixels. The map could probably used for various other games if different cards are made.I am also making printable character pieces separate which I plan to give out free to those who buy this set eventually. I have a warrior and mage completed. I am working on the archer and priest next.Let me know if I can improve on anything visually on the design of map and cards, especially if it can decrease any student confusion. Thanks.
