Mes vacances et ma passion-Les Alpes

Mes vacances et ma passion-Les Alpes

I tried to select a nice topic and theme to teach and revise various skills and grammatical aspects . It links to Expo3 ( la Normandie ) rouge with the discovery of an area but I jaust added more on this so students get to compare areas and see how varied France is. I will add more through a different power point and add worksheets , this is taking ages .... hope it helps. I used the interactive quiz with the gap fill as a little starter and introduction about the Alps before showing the Power Point.

Dans ma ville il y a, il n'y a pas... magasin, restaurant, piscine,... 67 slides! With lesson plan!

This is a fantastic resource which took me forever to put together. It includes a starter with extension and challenge, three quizzes about places in town. Students learn how to use il y a, il n'y a pas. There is a differentiated speaking task. Students then move on to the opinions with intensifiers. There is a listening task which is also differentiated with a challenge and an extension. There is a superb plenary! You will love this lesson! All ready to go!

Fully animated with all answers, clear directions for students and support for teacher in Notes section of slides if required. Challenge options included within activities to extend HA. Activity 2- Match the Mystery Country's national dishes to the English translations, and the images if possible. Activity 3 - Use the French clues provided to locate the Mystery Country on the map. Activity 4 - Use the map and the images to work out where the Mystery Country might be.Activity 5 - See how many phrases can be recognised in the song lyrics for a famous band from the Mystery Country (Kana - Pas de problèmes). Think, pair, share and singalong at end. The final section can be set as a research project for homework if wished.Great to fit into modules about Travel and Tourism, food, song, cultural similarities and differences, geography, or as a filler lesson before a holiday. France - quiz

France - quiz

This PowerPoint activity is for Years 7-9 which have France as the country they will represent on Sports Day. They will be doing a range of activities in form time, including this quiz, learning about one specific aspect of cultural interest, doing an introduction into the language ( they don't all learn France, listening to the national anthem and perhaps trying to learn a couple of chants. We have 11 form entry so 3 forms have France (Y7,8,9) and there are 10 other countries. Could be useful for the World Cup.
