Video activity about Trump's travel ban aimed at A Level French students. The worksheet consist of 5 activities graded in difficulty. The first 3 are comprehension activities, followed by a grammar exercise on identifying the pronouns in the video and the last activity is a definition game. The transcript is attached. This is a useful resource to discuss the issue of immigration and to start a conversation about politics and organize a debate in the class on this very controversial issue.

These are some of examples of the inflammatory language used by Nicolas Sarkozy, the then interior minister, to describe the riots in Clichy-Sous-Bois in 2005. I use this as a translation activity with Y13 A Level French students, which then feeds into a discussion about the causes and consequences of the riots, immigration, racism and integration.
