Friends, Family and Relationships Writing/ Speaking practice GCSE

Writing and Speaking practice for the new GCSE (based on the AQA scheme of work), can be used across any language (in my school we use it for German, French and Spanish).I use this at the end of a module for students to recap and add it to their file for future reference. It prepares them for writing assessments and the general conversation part of the speaking assessment. There are 8 questions for students to answer on the topic FRIENDS, FAMILY AND RELATIONSHIPS.I have also included a generic checklist for students to use, to make sure they are using tenses, opinions, justification etc. as well as a blank checklist for teachers/ students to add language specifics/ extra criteria for higher target grades. I am also selling similar placemats for other topics.

Mi Familia GCSE 9-1- Revision Tasks (Year 10/11 AQA Spec)

Mi Familia GCSE 9-1- Revision Tasks (Year 10/11 AQA Spec)

Sometimes I find it difficult to give students revision tasks that will not require large amounts of printing and marking on my behalf. To overcome this I have recently tried this concept with my Year 10 group to help revise for their upcoming school assessments.Students have a sheet full of revision tasks. The tasks are divided into 3 groups and each group equates to set amount of time they should spend on a given task. The tasks vary from self assessing to peer assessing to resources they can create and use themselves in future. I have attached both .pdf and .doc for your editing needs.Claddagh Classrooms

Speaking cards and general questions Los valores tradicionales y modernos (AQA)

Speaking cards and general questions Los valores tradicionales y modernos (AQA)

"A great resource for the price of a sandwich!"This is a booklet with stimulus cards, question starters and general questions on the topic "Los valores tradicionales y modernos" aimed at and tailored for students. It is based on the AQA board and the Oxford University Press AS textbook. The booklet contains a summary of the exam structure (separately for AS and AL), eight sample stimulus cards, questions starters and general questions on the subtopics. I have also included the source of the material in many of the stimulus cards, so that students can do extensive reading on the topic. The resource can be used in class or to set homework.I have created this booklet as there are only a few stimulus cards in the AQA site and as a teacher I need more resources than these to practice in class. Also, the type of questions in the new oral exam is very different to the old: they require a more precise response to the card, they test their knowledge of the culture and society and they are generally more challenging! I hope this resource helps teachers with their workload and it gives students an opportunity to practice and prepare for the exams.I welcome any feedback on this resource, either on this site or privately at: bgp@stbrn.ac.uk. You will find more cards in TES for units 2, 3 and 4.Thanks for your support.

GCSE SPANISH - Me, My Family and Friends 2 - COLOUR MATCH

GCSE SPANISH - Me, My Family and Friends 2 - COLOUR MATCH

This is a colour match exercise to practise vocabulary from the AQA syllabus. Students find a pair which mean the same, in English and Spanish. They then colour them the same colour. If they run out of colours they could use stripes, spots etc. If you are short on time they could number the boxes instead of colouring them in. The second sheet is for students to fill in the words as they find them and then to use as a vocab list. This is useful for a starter, a cover lesson or a homework
