Spanish AS: Carrousel activities for Spanish festivals, gender's equality and heritage.

Spanish AS: Carrousel activities for Spanish festivals, gender's equality and heritage.

This resource are 3 carrousel activities that you can use in class or for homework. We used them to research some aspects of some of the topics in Year 1. For example, for the gender's equality one, I divided the class into 5 groups and every group had to use the internet to research their topic. I gave them 2 lessons and then in the third one they had to share with the class what they had learnt and teach the others. For the festivals one I also got them to work in groups and then share the ideas. Finally, for the heritage one (which includes famous painters, architects and musicians) they had to reaseach for every lesson 2 people and make some notes. I used this resource as independent learning and they had to do it as part of the homework I gave them. By the end of the unit, they had researched them all and they were able to broaden their knowledge of the culture. I put together teacher versions for 2 of these 3 aspects (festivals and gender's equality) since they were class activities and I wanted to give them extra information.

Flashcards - OCR GCSE Spanish: Vocabulary List - Home Life

Flashcards - OCR GCSE Spanish: Vocabulary List - Home Life

I have put every word in the vocabulary list that OCR publishes onto flashcards. This pack is just on the topic of home life, but I have published all the other topics here on TES. If you are familiar with these words then the exam will be incredibly easy, since these are the only words that they will use in the exam. In this bundle, I have printed a pack with pictures, a pack in which you fold down the middle and a pack which you print double sided. The different packs are all exactly the same words, just choose the one which will help the words stick in your mind.

La Comida GCSE 9-1- Food - Spanish Revision Tasks (Year 10/11 AQA Spec)

La Comida GCSE 9-1- Food - Spanish Revision Tasks (Year 10/11 AQA Spec)

Sometimes I find it difficult to give students revision tasks that will not require large amounts of printing and marking on my behalf. To overcome this I have recently tried this concept with my Year 10 group to help revise for their upcoming school assessments.Students have a sheet full of revision tasks. The tasks are divided into 3 groups and each group equates to set amount of time they should spend on a given task. The tasks vary from self assessing to peer assessing to resources they can create and use themselves in future. I have attached both .pdf and .doc for your editing needs.Claddagh Classrooms

Spanish A2 Student Handbook and Grammar Booklet

Spanish A2 Student Handbook and Grammar Booklet

Over the last couple of months, I have been adapting the student & grammar booklet that I use in A2 and this is the version I have adapted to TES. I complement this booklet with some other sheets that other teachers have shared over the years. If you leave a comment with your email address I can send you the other stuff I complement it with.I have tried to merge into one booklet the grammar & translation sheets I use with my students. They find this booklet useful and I am sure the new A2 students will like it too!It comes with hundreds of translation exercises and some A2 grammar like perfect subjunctive tenses, if clauses, passives and verbs that are followed by a preposition. I also added the AQA mark schemes and some essay titles for La casa de Bernarda Alba and El Laberinto del Fauno. I Included idioms and many more things! This booklet is 87 pages so you can imgine all the stuff I have added :) Please leave some feedback :) Would like to know what other teachers think of it! So leave some feedback please :)

Spanish A Level subjunctive verbs grammar battleships game starter

Spanish A Level subjunctive verbs grammar battleships game starter

This is a battleships game for practising the subjunctive with an A Level group or G&T GCSE group.Pupils play battleships by marking 5 ships of different lengths (5 squares, 4 squares, 3 squares, 2 squares, 1 square) on their own grid. They must then use the subjunctive with the set grids to guess where their partner's ships are. Pupils can either just use the subjunctive trigger and conjugate a verb or they could create sentences which uses the verb, for example creating sentences on the environment or pollution. You can adopt this worksheet to include different infinitives and constructions, perhaps to revise key topics.
