Past, Practice + Predicted questions - AQA A Level Sociology - all 3 papers

3 Resources
Past, Practice + Predicted questions - AQA A Level Sociology Papers 1, 2 & 3 (note - the booklet for Paper 2 relates to options A2 Families & Households & B1 Beliefs in Society only). Each of these three booklets are written to prepare you for your final AQA ‘A’ Level Sociology exams in 2024. Each booklet serves the following functions: Overview - one page reminding you of which questions you will be facing in this specific exam and how many marks each are worth. Questions from each past paper are listed in chronological order – so you can read and practice ALL the relevant past paper questions without having to look them up. The themes of the past paper questions are then presented in a chart that relates to the topics in the Napier Press textbooks. A crystal ball and purple writing indicates which topics have yet to come up. A list of OTHER relevant questions to practice are then listed. These are sourced from a range of textbooks and there are many I have made up myself. Those in purple text relate to the topics most likely to come up. By working through these booklets, you should become confident in your knowledge of ALL the past paper questions – from 2023 back to the SPEC paper published in 2016. You will be aware of which topics are yet to come up – which will enable you to give these areas particular focus in your revision (make sure you revise everything though). You then have a range of alternative questions to practice answers to - many have been written especially for this booklet. By the time you have worked your way through these booklets, applying your knowledge to the questions presented, you should feel very confident that you are well prepared for the 2024 Sociology exam series.

Families and households - EPIC revision PPT/Booklet

(1)
This is a complete revision PPT for the entire Families and Household’s topic for ‘A’ Level Sociology AQA Spec. There are 23 slides of content. The content of these slides is detailed enough to enable students to write a 20-mark essay on any Families and Households essay title that comes up in the final exam and provide suitable material for the 10 markers. Students could print these slides and use them as separate revision cards or they could be printed as a complete revision booklet. The slides are designed to help the students break their revision up into manageable chunks – and the use of colourful, highlighted text and relevant pictures should help engage visual learners. I also use my EPIC revision PPTs in class – students have the booklet version open in front of them while I am teaching in addition to longer textbooks and other resources. The slides contain relevant and up to date statistics from the ONS, the 2023 British Social Attitudes Survey and the 2021 Census – material that textbooks written in time for the ‘new’ spec in 2016 do not contain. Please note EPIC revision PPTs for Crime & Deviance, Beliefs in Society, Methods in Context and Sociological Theory are also available in my TES shop.

GCE AQA Sociology: Crime and Deviance (7192/3): Revision Quiz

Quiz involving 4 rounds - Sociologists, studies, picture round and pot luck. The Joker card enables a group to double their points (groups must declare their joker before the round starts). For a really competitive group 'The Devil Cards' work well, enabling half of another teams points to be stolen! The document has the answers for each round included - make sure these are removed before use with a class! Note - there are a couple of ‘suicide’ questions included, as the quiz was created pre-spec 2015. These need to be removed and replaced as Suicide is no longer in the Spec.

AQA Methods In Context Education Revision Cards (New Spec 2015 Onwards)

I have adapted these revision cards from some that were put on TES by another member. They were originally part of revision for Crime and Methods in Context. I print these as two slides per page and back to back so that they can be laminated and cut out to create flash cards hence the slides being ordered differently - they print fine! As with most of my resources they are colour coded (green for theory, red for sociologist, purple for concepts). Please review my resources and let me know if I've made any typing errors or if you have any ideas on how to improve these.
