Genetic Engineering Evaluation Activity

This activity is designed to help students describe arguments for and against genetic engineering. Tasks are colour coded for level of challenge - red (low challenge) to purple (high challenge). I would allow 15-20 minutes for students to prepare answers independently or in groups. Tasks can be assigned to students/groups based on ability or students could choose the task most suited to their ability. Enjoy!

Enzyme Function Differentiated Activity

Enzyme Questions Differentiated from ‘Red task’ - low challenge, to ‘Purple task’ - high challenge. Suitable for KS4 Biology. I use this by laminating these on A3 and having students answer in small groups. My seating plan has students roughly sat by attainment making it easy to allocate the correct task to a given table. Would love to hear how you used this resource!
Forces Differentiated Activity

Forces Differentiated Activity

(0)
A series of pictures, each demonstrating different forces in action. Suitable for KS3 or 4 forces. ‘Red’ task is the lowest challenge, purple is most challenging. Numerous ways to use this resource. Personally I have these laminated and have students discuss the forces involved in groups, and then feedback to the group. Ideas to stretch and challenge further: ask students to draw arrows corresponding to the forces on each picture (laminate first!) Discuss resultant forces and whether/why each object will move Students could discuss how the forces would change if these scenarios took place on the moon/in space…
