Resources include: *Powerpoint *Sweepstake of countries to cut out Activities include: Sweepstake - students to follow their selected country for homework Countries match up Spanish-English Eurovision facts and figures match-up Quiz about Italy (host country) Lots of language and culture about Ukraine (last year’s winner) Interesting linguistic fact followed by linguistic exploration of Cuban slang (This year’s entry for Spanish was born in Cuba) OR of Quebec slang (this year’s entry for France is from Quebec, Canada) Chance to listen/watch each song entry, students can give each performance a mark out of 12, and then do writing practice using opinions.
