Marking planner / timetable - 2022-2023

Plan and keep a track of your marking easily with this efficient marking timetable. Simply put a mark on the corresponding class and week, then when that groups books have been marked, it’s easy to tick off that it’s done! I have included an example for how I use this timetable, please note I am using both the school year calendar and the marking policy that I personally have to follow (KS3 books marked once every 3 weeks, KS4 books every 2 weeks) but you are obviously free to edit this as you need to according to your school’s policy! This really helped me balance out the workload and also make sure no books got left behind unmarked. A win for both teacher and pupil!

KS3 MFL French - sports - differentiated lesson interview worksheet PPT lesson plan

This is a ready to go differentiated lesson on sports, more suitable for KS3. I used this for an interview lesson (and got the job). Included is the powerpoint presentation, a double sided stepped worksheet to use alongside the presentation and the lesson plan. Includes emphasis on using cognates and recognising false friends, a ‘spot the odd one out’ activity, battle ships, and encourages pupils to give opinions about sports with reasons. Charlie Hebdo - liberté d'expression - authentic materials - MFL - FRENCH

This can make up a series of lessons about the Charlie Hebdo attacks of 2015 in Paris. More suited to KS4 and possible a more mature Year 9 group given the nature of the topic and the vocab used. The first few slides are a selection of starters using authentic materials that get pupils responding to images in a similar vain to the GCSE photocard. The lessons get pupils looking at current affairs but also looks at grammar, genuine quotes, and an article amongst other activities such as opinion lines. My classes really found this topic interesting but it also pushed them in terms of language, vocabulary and grammar. Alongside this Powerpoint I have also used the French Netflix documentary « Je suis Charlie » https://www.netflix.com/watch/80079253?trackId=13752289&tctx=0%2C1%2C491adc434dd06655319d9ea4a3625e6e22127a0d%3A5b75458081903e484cb2dc14579e901ead7c8d6c%2C%2C WARNING: not all of this documentary is suitable for showing to students so make yourself aware of the sections that ought to be skipped before pressing play! Obviously as this is on Netflix it requires a subscription and for it not to be blocked on the school IT system. Notes to teacher: SENSITIVE SUBJECT MATTER: Please look through all powerpoint and be aware of sensitive nature of this topic and be mindful of your classes potential response before using.
