Lesson plans aimed at year 6 children (can be adapted to suit younger KS2 children) on Natural Disasters/Hazards. This unit of work was created to support children’s understanding of Earthquakes, Volcanoes and Hurricanes. Many activities are hands on and have cross curricular themes running through them. Children will be able to act out a hurricane talk show, create a volcano from basic materials, design posters and information pages for staying safe, and engage in group and whole class activities.
