This behavior workbook is specifically designed for teenagers and adolescents and has been developed utilizing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy principles. This workbook primarily focuses on emotions, behaviours, anger management and self-care.
Students with anger management difficulties often represent a significant number of referrals for school counselors. They are often referred because they are internalising their anger (depressed, socially withdrawn) or the majority are externalising their anger by demonstrating behavioural concerns. These cards introduces students to various peer pressure scenarios and encourages reflection around decision making, problem solving, boundaries, empathy and choices.

The following Peer Pressure Scenario Cards explores some realistic and relatable peer pressure situations to support little learners explore this topic.
There are a total of 20 scenario cards and written as first person to encourage empathy, understanding and compassion. On each card, there is a visual representation of the peer pressure situation, as well as a written narrative explaining what is happening. At the bottom of the scenario card includes a reflective question – “Was I influenced by peer pressure?” Students are then encouraged to answer “Yes” or “No”. As an extension activity there are some additional reflective questions for students to explore.
Included in this resource are two paddle pop templates for both the “thumbs up” and “thumbs down” option. This can be utilized for whole class or small group situations to encourage each student to participate.

This resource has been developed for teenage students to brainstorm and reflect on some risky behaviours and consider the negative and positives of the situation. This resource includes blank templates at the end of the resource for students to complete their own brainstorming maps.
This resource includes considering the behaviours: unprotected sex, meeting up with strangers, gambling, prescribed medication, destroying property and breaking good behaviour bond. What is included in not an exhaustive list but a start to get students to start reflecting on their individual circumstances and what consequences for each of these behaviours would look like.
