I have had many parents asking me for a list of spellings the children should be learning in year 5 so I created this guide. You can add your school name and logo on the front cover to personalise it and it can be photocopied into a small book and sent home. Depending on demand, I am hoping to do one for each year group. A 5 day plan for classic poetry based on the poem The Tyger by William Blake. This has originally be used with a Year 5 class (9-10 year olds) but could be adapted for other ages. It introduces the poem to the children in an accessible way and then encourages short and longer writing opportunities. All resources are included as well as an annotated version of the poem to analyse the language and structure.
