A Trip To The Movies Part Three - Moods and Motifs

(0)
This video and worksheet resources has been designed specifically for remote learning! In Part Three of the series, we get into some detail with the use of film music, specifically how motifs and letimotifs are used tio reflect time, place, character and mood. We take in John Williams, Alan Silvestri, and a whole bunch of different film themes! As ever, it is designed to be accessible and concise, and is perfect for your year 7s and 8s working at home. I used this with Year 8 during the 2020 lockdown, and it worked brilliantly! I hope you enjoy it. Dan

If, like me, you REFUSE TO DRAW THE LETTERS ON THE KEYBOARD… then look no further - the Draw-A-Keyboard Tango is here! This is my go-to cover lesson, homework, Do Now and remote learning resource. I tend to run it multiple times to aid memory, and turn it into a class competition - who can get 8 marks out of 8? So, what do you get? My Draw-A-Keyboard Tango video An instrumental version without my singing The Draw-A-Keyboard worksheet with mark scheme AND three pages of notation questions for your cover lessons. NEW FOR LOCKDOWN - a link to the Draw-A-Keyboard Online, using Google Drawing - you can set this on your Google Classroom and give your feedback! I hope you enjoy the Draw A Keyboard challenge… or, I hope the students get 8 out of 8 quickly so they don’t have to hear it ever again.
