Complete lesson on William James for A Level students. Goes well with In Our Time radio show BBC MP3 download on William James and Religious Experience (file too large to upload). Can be easily downloaded and added as extra research for students.
Use the information in the slides to divide the class into five groups to explore each of the five ways, to break apart the language from one of the ways (print slide sheets), and then to deliver something to the class. It could be through art, drama or a poster. They need to use real life examples to explain high level concepts. Has worked well in observations for KS4 and can be used for KS5 low ability students.
Used for A Level Religious Studies, and used to help students define the two concepts. Contextualized with case studies you can find elsewhere on TES online, teachers can print out slides as worksheets and help students to develop their knowledge of these two complicated terms. This resource can be amended for KS4 with more scaffolding.
