Have been observed many times over the past four years which have resulted in Outstanding Observations. It also includes all revision lessons and revision guides I give to students. In recent GCE/A-Level exams in 2019; EVERY student (16 in our first cohort) got A*-C for this paper. The resources require the textbook for this course to assist with teaching.

Please see attached a SOW, series of Lesson Slides and Research Investigation Essay/Task (fitting with MYP criteria) which is accessible to Year 7/KS3 Students. Has a focus on the role of women: particularly Margaret of Anjou, Elizabeth Woodville and Margaret Beaufort and how they played a role during this conflict. Teachers who also teach A-Level may want to consider using this unit of work to also reduce the complexity and use is as a transition/introduction to the Wars of the Roses too.

For these resources you will need to ensure you have the textbook to use from as well! It also contains revision sheets/breakdowns per topic. Students really benefitted from having these which formed a revision booklet for them.

To better help student’s adapt to the rigour at GCSE when studying Elizabethan England and Medicine Through Time, I proposed a SOL whereby Year 8 Students (Although could be adapted for Year 7 and LA students at GCSE) will study the different: political, economic, religious and cultural changes through the Early Modern Period; particularly the Tudor and Stuart Dynasties. This is a thematic study whereby we encourage student’s to regularly reflect on similarities and differences between both periods. Student’s engage well and love learning about the different monarch’s however instead of solely focusing on them we look at the societal changes under their rules. Within this unit of work, there contains a SOL and sample assessment/+mark scheme.
