I am currently on a gap year with a place to study Biochemistry at Oxford. I studied OCR Biology, OCR Chemistry, AQA English Literature and Edexcel History. I achieved A*A*A*A* in my A Levels so I'm sharing my revision notes to help others achieve top marks. I achieved an A* in AQA English Literature A Level - here is a document with 3 unseen poetry comparison A* (band 5) essays. The marks each essay achieved are - 24/25, 25/25, 25/25. These include a copy of the supporting poems. These essays were marked by an AQA Examiner. I achieved an A* in AQA A Level English Literature - here is a document with useful discourse markers (connectives usually) to throw into your essay to expand and develop your points continually. An English Essay is itself a discussion of ideas, linkings all your AOs (assessment objectives) together. Learn these and naturally use them in your essays to make your essay sound more academic and coherent. :)

I achieved an A* In AQA A Level English Literature - I have put together all of my Handmaid’s Tale revision notes, which cover every assessment objective and will guarantee you top marks in the exam! I have made a sheet for: key quotations with in-depth anaylsis, key context, critics opinions, language and structure, literary links, Offred character analysis and a general overview sheet with A* ideas. Each poem is summarised and analysed to high A* standard (with key ideas, quotes, techniques, context and literary theory discussed for each).
