Starter activity to practise dictionary skills\n\nStudents look up the words in the dictionary and figure out the name of the song in English. The singer/band's initials are at the side of each. Numbers 1-90 to print off and cut out. I put them in an envelope and pick numbers out at random and read out the numbers in Spanish (could be done for any language).
I bought bingo cards really cheap from Wilkinsons instead of making my own.

Remember sentence order - passage about Enrique to be read out, students put sentences in correct order after you've finished talking
Running dictation - stick passages up on wall. In groups students take it in turns to go up, read the passage, then come back to their desks and fill in the ID cards

Resources used with Y7 Spanish for their Storytelling project.\n\nPowerpoint tutorials to teach vocabulary for fruits and animals in La Sorpresa de Nandi (Handa's Surprise).\n\nSheets with images of animals and fruits to be cut up.
