The lesson provides students with an introduction to the writer Allen Edger Poe and one of his most important pieces of writing, A Tell-Tale-Heart. The lesson begins with a fact-finding task, then progress to looking at the text and the Gothic conventions that are presented. There are tasks for the class to identify quotations linked to key images. The class will then move on to attempt an exam-style question, there is also a written example to help them to construct a well-written response.
