#### KS4 Kinetic, Gravitational Potential, and Elastic Energy (KE, GPE, and Ee)

(1)
KS4 lesson taking students through the applications and uses of equations to calculate Ke, GPE, and Ee. Each equation is introduced in a way where students begin to think about the equations, and how different factors affect the amount of energy in different stores, before students begin to consider the use of equations in an exam context. Differentiated questions demanding students convert units and consider the form of their answers. What’s more, the final questions require students to interchange values between stores of GPE, Ke, and Ee.

#### Metallic Bonds and Properties Worksheet

(1)
A worksheet for students to use to guide independent learning on the structure of metals and how this links to their properties. This ideally compliments a lesson which is available here

#### Surface area to volume ratio practical

(1)
A lesson to compliment the teaching of surface area to volume ratio, and its effect on the rate of diffusion. This lesson takes has a maths focus of encouraging students to calculate surface area to volume ratio, and then comparing these values to the time taken for HCl to diffuse into cubes of agar gel which are soaked in phenolphthalein. Differentiated and engaging for an otherwise dry topic.

#### Group 7 Halogens KS3

(2)
Lesson introducing the reactivity of halogens at KS3. Viles of Cl, Br, and I can be brought in tot he lesson to show students - practicals not recommended for safety purposes.

#### KS4 Structure and properties of ionic compounds lesson

(1)
Full lesson teaching students about the properties of ionic compounds and relating that to their structure. This lesson is pre-made with activities and ready to go, including reflections, video clips, and evaluation activities for higher order thinking.

#### Metals Vs Non-Metals KS3 PP

(0)
Lesson for KS3 properties of metals and non-metals, as well as an introduction to the periodic table. Activities included - you will need to google a template of the periodic table for the colour coding activity.

#### Displacement reactions of metals

(0)
Lesson (including practical activity) for the displacement reactions of metals and the reactivity series. Engaging practical activity, and creative opportunity for students to write their own mnemonics.

#### States of matter

(0)
Full lesson introducing the particle model and states of matter. Activities included - colourful and engaging.

#### Separating mixtures and chromatography KS3

(0)
A lesson discussing different methods to separate mixtures, before leading students through simple paper chromatography. Follow up activities to the practical are included. A fun lesson with great impact.

#### Scaffold Equations Template

(0)
A template which can be laminated and used to scaffold equation questions for students. The template walks students through how to determine information provided from questions, relate this to equations, rearrange equations, and ultimately solve for answers. A useful tool which can be used to build confidence in LA students. Laminating this document produces a resource which students can easily use over and over for different equations, and can change their working without feeling under pressure to have correct working in their books.

#### AQA Energy Changes ECHG Bundle

5 Resources
A Bundle of lessons to cover the AQA Combined science ECHG topic. A practical heavy focus on a topic which students find engaging and enjoyable. Can be condensed down to around 4 lessons to cover rapidly and effectively.

#### KS3 Electrical Power and Cost

(0)
KS3 lesson introducing the idea of electrical power and cost. Will most likely last around 45 minutes. Can be accompanied with a worsheet to last the full hour if needed.

#### KS4 Applications of energy changes

(0)
PP. slide for uses of exothermic and endothermic reactions in hot and cold packs.

#### Group 7 displacement reactions worksheet.

(0)
A worksheet to help students to structure a practical around group 7 displacement reactions.

#### Model of the atom worksheet

(0)
A comparative worksheet where students look for advantages and disadvantages for historical models of the atom.

#### Atoms and elements

(0)
A fun introductory lesson for students to understand atoms and elements.

#### KS3 Matter and Molecules Full SOW With Activities

(0)
SOW to compliment AQA KS3 Matter scheme. This full series of lessons is fully equip to tackle the scheme in a logical and challenging fashion. Each lesson is presented from a colourful differentiated powerpoint, with activities and thought provoking questions for students. Practicals are regularly included, as well as interactive and independent activities, and each lesson ends with an opportunity for reflection. Students greatly enjoyed covering this unit, and other schools would benefit greatly from these resources.

#### Group 1 Metals KS3

(0)
Fun lesson with demonstration and video to introduce the reactivity of group 1 metals. Opportunity to develop scientific understanding and numeracy skills.

#### Group 7 Lesson

(0)
Engaging lesson taking students through the chemical and physical trends of group 7 elements. This lesson includes visual instructions for students when completing displacement reactions for group 7 elements, as well as an observation sheet for their practical experiments. An enjoyable lesson for what can be a dry topic. This lesson pushes students to think further and understand the trends, opposed to just wrote learning.

#### Electron Structure Bingo Activity

(0)
A fun and engaging activity for electron structures. Can be used as a starter or plenary. Great for energizing students!
