Attainment Tracker from ELC3 to S3

(0)
Excel document that allows you to track the attainment (as measured by the teachers) of your pupils across 5 subjects from ELC3 to S3. The document’s impact has been positively recognised during two ‘Education Scotland’ inspections and is currently being used by primary and secondary schools across the Scottish Borders. The pupil’s attainment at subject level is automatically combined into a summary table and graph. Each child can have 6 “markers” linked with them for example, number of ACEs, Risk matrix, SIMD, free lunches. The data can be filtered by these “markers” to allow you to quickly check the performance of different groups of children in your school. For more details of the product and testimonials from schools who are currently using it, please see www.eastneukanalytics.com/attainment-tracker-standard/ The download includes the Excel document and 3 “how to” guides to support you. Ongoing support is also available, please email EastNeukAnalytics@gmail.com for details.

Minimum survey responses calculation

(0)
Sometimes it is easier/quicker to sample the views of your pupils or staff rather than ask everybody in your school for their feedback. This document calculates the minimum number of surveys you would need to complete to make sure that the views in the survey match those across the whole of your school. Into the Excel document you enter the size of the population (e.g. number of pupils), how confident you want to be in the result and it will give you the number of surveys you will need to complete.

Calculate the confidence interval on survey results

(0)
If you survey or measure anything in your school where you are unable to get 100% response rate, (e.g. parental feedback) there is an error margin on each result. This document calculates the size of the confidence interval based on the size of the population (e.g. number of parents or pupils being surveyed) and the number of people that responded to the survey.
