Meaningful task for students to practice working out the area of the triangle and Extension for students to find out the base when you are given the length and area. Next, working out the compound shapes area. It is detailed with questioning, prior learning and breakdown of students understanding, assessment opportunities and activities. A fun plenary where students fill in the missing blanks regarding area of triangle and compound shapes.
