3 texts and questions loosely based around the theme of Robin Hood. Texts are: 1. The first chapter of an original story which is set in the time of Robin Hood. (Please note, this does not re-tell the legend of Robin Hood). 2. A non-fiction text about Robin Hood 3. A newspaper article, linked to the story. Questions are based on the year 6 SATS Reading paper 2016 and sample government materials. This is the first instalment in a series of reading comprehensions to follow.

Information text on the Pyramids. An imagined interview with Howard Carter. An instruction text on mummification. A story extract on Egyptian childhood/home life.

Useful for studying the Victorians, the role of women in history and the history of nursing. Sheet can be used a pure reading comprehension or as a stimulus for further study. Question sheet and answers are provided.
