Anagram-azing - Anagrams and the NC Word List for Years 3 and 4 An anagram can be a great way of remembering a tricky spelling. They work as mnemonics, by having all the letters of the original word or phrase arranged in a fresh form. For example, astronomers makesno more stars. It all makes learning fun! Each task card includes a simple explanation of how anagrams work. Each card features an example of an anagram - a different one on each card. Each of the cards features an anagram of a word from the Year 3/4 NC Word List. An answer sheet for the children and a sheet of answers for the teacher are included. Addition & Subtraction of Fractions - this set of 32 free task cards looks at the addition and subtraction of fractions. Aimed at children in KS2 and KS3. The cards can be used in a variety of ways by individual children, pairs, small groups and even the whole class. They can be used to reinforce concepts learnt, as assessment and even sent home as homework. Each card is numbered so children can easily track which cards they have completed. They can record their answers on the answer sheet, which also includes space for them to show any working out. An answer key is also included. This Powerpoint contains 16 weeks’ worth of morning challenges (80 in all). Aimed at youngsters in KS2 and lower KS3. There is a mixture of english and maths challenges, thinking skills, logic puzzles and visual literacy.
