This is the complete Eco Stuffed Toy package with everything you need to teach your upper KS3 pupils how to design, make and pitch an eco stuffed toy.
The brief: “I have been asked to make a stuffed toy in my choice of style, suitable for customers of my chosen charity, but using at least 25% recycled materials.
To do this I must first write an ACCESS FM design specification, analyse similar products and research my theme.”
The project is assessed following a Dragon’s Den style pitch at the end of the project.
It was created for a full 20 week project but could be reduced for shorter rotations. It also includes images of handouts to be printed for the pupils.

This is the video to support the full "Eco Toy" presentation.
It features photos of each stage and written instructions. It includes differentiated instructions for both Sid & Nancy (Sid = difficult and Nancy = easy versions of toys).
It can be played on a loop during the making lessons to help pupils stay on track with their projects and prevent you from doing multiple demonstrations each lesson and helping your pupils to think for themselves!
Win win!
It can also be purchased as part of the Eco Friendly Stuffed Toy bundle.
A great resource for warm up evaluations. Pupils write 5 sentences, 5 keywords (or tools used that lesson) and one summative adjective about their product/work. Can be used as continuous assessment at different stages of the project or at the end as a preparation to final evaluation writing.
This is a 2 slide powerpoint which includes a blank table on a slide to be printed and used as a pupil activity. The second slide has the complete answers and you could show this during an explanation and get the pupils to fill in the blanks themselves or you can just give them the complete sheet.
This is full editable.

This resource is great game to help pupils remember equipment names and develops pupils vocabulary literacy. The first slide is a bingo blank which you fill in using the equipment from the list. The second page is a list you print and cut up to pull out of a bag or similar and call at random.
I find this works best when the first page is complete and laminated to be reused.

I made these to give to exemplar pupils or those who have made extra effort during my classes. You can either give these direct to pupils or send them home to parents for maximum effect.
Pupils love having the achievement recognised and these have been great for boosting self esteem especially with the pupils usually regarded as low achievers.
I have tested the layouts for back to back printing and they line up perfectly as long as you know how your printer works!
Let me know if you have any issues.

This accompanies the full 20 week presentation but is also excellent as a cover lesson activity.
Assessment feedback sheet for GCSE pupils which is based on the GCSE Controlled Assessment Task mark scheme. This is very useful for marking YR10 pupils work to get them used to the format of marking for their final year.
This resource is perfect for end of project assessment marking against the ACCESS FM specification points at the start of each project. Each point is marked out of 2. There is also a point for Overall Product/Effort and a section for teacher and pupil comments and D.I.R.T sheets if used by the school. If D.I.R.T sheets aren't used a photo of the final product could be placed there instead.
This has been an incredibly useful resource for final marking.
This resource is to be used each lesson after any practical work. It will help pupils remember what they did and what they found easy or difficult etc. and helps when it comes to writing their final evaluations as it trigger their memories. Perfect for developing literacy and for those who struggle writing extended pieces of writing.
