These worksheets are suitable for practising and revising the different areas of the curriculum. The sheets include useful hints and explanations to support the children in completing the sheets. A sentence writing booster/intervention that can be printed off to create a booklet of activity worksheets for Early Years and Key Stage 1 children who are struggling with sentence writing. The PowerPoint covers five weeks worth of activities and introduces children to 35 of the 100 high frequency words/hfw. Each week covers reading the focus high frequency words, writing the focus words, cutting and sticking words to make a sentence and then writing a dictated sentence. I have used this activity to encourage children to write sentences with capital letters and full stops and to hold and repeat the sentence in their head. The intervention helps children to gain confidence when they are writing sentences. Number Bond Tests A set of 14 colour coded number bond tests to test for quick recall of number bonds to 5, 10 and 20. Each test has ten questions to complete and there are two tests for each colour of the rainbow. Each child also has a blank rainbow to colour, they can colour each band once they are secure on that set of number bonds eg red number bonds are making 5 therefore once children are secure at making 5 they would colour the red band of the rainbow. The aim is for children to colour the whole rainbow. These tests cover number bonds for making numbers to 5, making numbers to 10 and making numbers to 20. The tests can be used with a timer to check how secure children are with number bond recall. Children enjoy working their way through the colours of the rainbow and if not secure can repeat tests again and try to beat their previous score. Suitable for Early Years and Key Stage 1 children. Multiplication Tests A set of 14 colour coded multiplication tests to test for quick recall of multiplications to x12. Each test has thirteen questions to complete and there are two tests for each colour of the rainbow. Each child also has a blank rainbow to colour, they can colour each band once they are secure on that set of multiplications eg red multiplications are x2 and x10 therefore once children are secure at x2 and x10 they would colour the red band of the rainbow. The aim is for children to colour the whole rainbow. These tests cover multiplications from x0 to x12 starting with x2 and x10 and ending with a test of all multiplications. The tests can be used with a timer to check how secure children are with multiplication recall. Children enjoy working their way through the colours of the rainbow and if not secure can repeat tests again and try to beat their previous score. Suitable for Key Stage 1 children and Lower Key Stage 2 children.

The lesson shows children how to count in fives using a number square and explains that when we count in 5s from 0 we will always have 5 or 0 ones at the end of our number. Children then practise counting in fives using a number square and then without a number square. Children then order the numbers counting in 5s and then identify missing numbers counting in 5s. There is then an activity for counting sets of objects in 5s, first with the numbers recorded along the bottom of the slide to support children and then without. The lesson includes differentiated worksheets and a plenary. Aimed at Early Years and Year 1 children however could also be used as a recap lesson in Year 2. Capital Letters Activity An English activity focusing on capital letters, when to use them and what they look like. The PowerPoint shows the children all capital letters and the children then practise writing the capital letters. Children then write the capital letter to match the lower case letter. The Capital Letter Monster then eats some of the capital letters from the alphabet and children have to identify which letters have been eaten and write the capital letters on their whiteboards. Children are then shown sentences with missing capital letters and have to fill in the missing letters. The children will enjoy the fun element of having a monster eating the capital letters and I have used this in class when children have forgotten capital letters in their written work. Full Stops Lesson A complete English lesson covering how and when to use full stops. The lesson explains what a sentence is and when we need to use full stops. It focuses on the use of full stops only and not capital letters as I have found that children can struggle with learning both at the same time. During the main input children have to identify sentences and add full stops. The lesson includes three differentiated worksheets and a plenary. Aimed at Early Years and Year 1 children although could be used as a recap session or as part of an intervention or booster for Year 2 children.

Maths Intervention/Booster A Maths booster/intervention that can be printed off to create a booklet of activity worksheets for Early Years and Key Stage 1 children. The PowerPoint covers five weeks and covers a range of activities including number writing to 5 and then to 10, missing numbers, number recognition and representation using pictures and addition and subtraction using numbers to 5 and then numbers to 10. I have used this activity to support children with their understanding of number and addition and subtraction and it has helped to boost their confidence when they return to class. HFW Reading Intervention A reading intervention that covers 100 high frequency words/HFW. The words are split into 13 sets with five activities for children to complete for each set. The activities are - read the words, find and colour the star words, match and colour words starting with upper and lower case letters, read the sentences including hfw and use the picture to fill in the missing word and read the sentences and draw a picture to match the sentences. Please note that the sets do not contain equal numbers of words due to needing to construct sentences that make sense.
