Lesson for A-level AQA Changing Places unit on the development of insiders and outsiders. Presentation considers the development of insider and outsider perceptions of Newcastle and that of a Syrian migrant in Germany. The lesson then looks at exogenous factors, migration in Boston, Lincoln, and favela development and gentrification in Rio, Brazil, and the impact it has had on the lived experience of residents. I used newspaper articles for this lesson, which can't be uploaded due to copyright. This could therefore be a research task; but I have included summary sheets. There is also 20 question assessment.
Topical case study, which takes students through the causes, impacts, and responses to the recent event. Tasks include mapping, drawing a sketch diagram of the causes, annotation of images for impacts, and a design a rescue worker task.
Designed for GCSE Eduqas A Geography Rural-Urban Links unit. The lesson considers the causes and impacts of counter-urbanisation on the village of Linby in Nottinghamshire. The guided lesson includes discussion points, map and image interpretation, a classification task, and an assessment piece.

This lesson asks students to consider the impacts of human activity on wetlands in the New Forest National Park. Using Soldiers Bog students are asked to evaluate restoration strategies. The lesson includes a presentation and worksheet. An assessment task is also included.
