This resource explores what it means to be part of the Commonwealth, offering insights into the culture and identity of Commonwealth countries and reflecting on life in the UK and the activities centre on four carefully chosen films from across the Commonwealth: The First Grader; Mandela – Long Walk to Freedom; Tracks and He Named Me Malala. Mythbusters: Respect for IP uses an online ‘mythbusting' quiz to challenge young people into confronting common perceptions about intellectual property and film viewing choices. It will also highlight the impact that content piracy and viruses have on the creative industries. This resource can be used and adapted to meet the needs of the learners and comprises of an accompanying Staying Safe Online: Meet the Malwares PowerPoint presentation including embedded clips, activity sheets and a handy glossary of the key terms to use in your classroom or club sessions.
