Royal Wedding, Design a Cake (Art/Design Lesson)

Resources to teach a Royal Wedding themed lesson where children have to design their own wedding cake. A fun way to celebrate the wedding. The Power Point provides examples (e.g of William’s wedding cake), suggestions of what Harry and Meghan’s cake might be like and gives other design examples for inspiration and discussion. A blank cake worksheet is provided as well as guidance on how to carry out the lesson. I have done this lesson with a few classes of different ages and they have really enjoyed it and came up with some excellent designs and ideas. Fun fact: I designed and baked the last four cakes on the Power Point which include a Disney Frozen and Halloween wedding cake.
