For the Poetry section of my English Literature exam, I revised by making notes from Mr B ruff. Now that I’ll never be tested on a poem for the rest of my life, I hope my Poetry Revision Notes will help students, forced to take the English Literature exams My notes include the : Context of the Poem - Mentioning the background of the poem and a bit of the author’s life Story - What the poem is about Structure - How the poet laid out the poem using Sonnet Form, Cyclical Structure etc Language - I’ve included key quotes from each poem and briefly analysed them I hope my notes have helped and please do share with the rest of your peers :D Good Luck with your Revision and all your Exams

Hello my fellow English Students, I created this guide when my English Teacher requested me to make something for the class after getting an 8 in the mocks. This is one of the guides of the 3 guides I ended up creating which is in my English Step By Step Series. This guide will mention how to tackle the Unseen Poetry by knowing what to write in each paragraph and how to lay out those paragraphs themselves. I hope I’ve helped and please do share this guide with your peers Good luck with your Revision and all your Exams

Hello my fellow Holy people , If you’re in a Catholic School (like I was) or you chose Re because you wanted to, hopefully my revision notes may help you out. During my final year, the Exam Board was changed from so in a matter of a few months, the whole year was taught the entire course (with the help of our teachers and a few days where we had to come to school in our holidays). Thankfully, the Head Teacher (and my RE teacher at the time) gave everyone a study book which was called : My Revision Notes Religious Studies Route B (9-1) by Andrew Barron During the holiday before exam season, I went through the book page by page and wrote up the necessary information in concise and precise bullet points. Yes it took many hours, but I guess it was well worth it … I got an 8 for my RE grade (too bad that won’t even matter in a few years time, or ever for that matter). Either way, I have decided to share my Revision notes in the hope that it’ll help those who aren’t finding any suitable/free revision guides to learn from. However, I must warn you that there are a few flaws. Firstly, because it’s such a large document, there’ll definitely be phrases, words etc that won’t make sense (due to typos), so it’ll be nice to mention that in the comments. Also, I think at some point, I typed: “I cannot be bothered to type 4 key documents of the 2nd Vatican council” because I couldn’t be bothered to type the 4 key documents of the 2nd Vatican council, so I didn’t. Also, I put the Creation of Adam Picture in the notes, but I didn’t explain what the interpretations were for that painting. Finally, I’m pretty sure everything else is there but I can’t guarantee as I made this ages ago. Please use this for Revision Purposes and share with your peers :) I hope I’ve helped By the way, this was originally posted on the Student Room, and still is, but I am the owner of that Student Room Account and wanted my Revision Source to be found anywhere to help as much people as possible :D

To be brutally honest, when it comes to English, it is an absolute headache to try and answer a question, as straight forward as possible. Unlike Maths and Science there is no one right answer, you could have as many interpretations as you like as long as it is evidently justified in the text. In my opinion, this is also one the fatal flaw of Literature for all students; no matter how much revision you do, there will still be a question which could ultimately stump you. However, some may argue, without there being one right answer, there is simply no chance of making a mistake. Additionally, being so vague means there is no fixed lay out in order to express your ideas; hopefully, with this guide, any question can be answered as long as you follow the steps provided. I wrote this guide after getting an 8 in my mocks and my teacher asked if i could produce something for the class - this ended with me making 3 things which is part of the Step By Step Guide to English, this guide being one of them I hope I’ve helped and please do share my guide with your peers Good luck with your Revision and all your Exams
