There are other revision guides on the Internet for independent film and for Tsotsi, but they do not cater for a range of abilities. This booklet with its simplified language, key vocabulary sections, strong colour visuals and sample exam questions allows all students to become familiar with the concept of independent films, the background to this film and the type of analysis required for exam questions. Out of all the international films one can study, I found that this one is the most engaging for all abilities. I hope this booklet helps your students as much as it helped mine.
