Monsters Rocks Your students will love this cute little ‘Monster Rocks’ set of times tables. Each times table set has a different monster. The different ways to use Monster Rocks Times Tables Task cards - these make for great revision or practice. Answers can be printed and laminated back to back. This helps with durability and will last longer. Making them reusable. Games - Times table snap is a fun way to engage your students. Get them to work in pairs ( They will need a copy each of which ever times table they are practising) and when both students deal the same times table, the one who is able to answer the equation first wins. Homework - Revision homework. Can your students learn a specific set by the following week? Remember that they cannot move on to the next monster until they get them right from memory. Geometry all around us is an excellent add on to your geometry unit. For many of your students, geometry is purely and solely used and heard of in Math. It is something they learn in school and is often set as homework. Most students do not see the relevance of geometry outside of the classroom. Multiplication and division. The golden rule is they go hand in hand. If you can multiply then you can divide. They are in a sense the best of friends. Every page has a selected number and then on the left side of the page is the multiplication and on the right its the division. What grades is this resource developed for? This multiplication and division pack has been created for grade 2 upwards. Can this multiplication and division resource be used for supply? It certainly can! Simply print one copy of each and add it to your supply file. It can then be used along side a planned lesson or as a singular resource. What is this resource useful for? This fraction game is all about getting your alien from the start box to the end box will be challenging. You will face set backs, challenging additions (there is often more than one correct answer), you could be forced to miss a turn and land on spaces which send you back a space or three. There is always the chance you will land on an occupied space and be forced to take a challenge card. This game is not for the faint hearted! Do you dare to take on the challenge? Can you get to the end of the game? This game is suitable from grades 4 to 6. Though those who are more able in grade 3 would find this fun and challenging and this fraction space game makes for an ideal intervention game for higher graders. Whats included and the prep work needed Space Fractions game – Print and laminate for durability. Space Fraction Rules Poster – Print and laminate. Your students can self access. Placing it near your math station or where the game will most likely played. Fraction card – There are 8 fraction cards which you will need to print and cut out. Fraction card covers – You have two options. Option 1 – Black and white or option 2 – Green background with blue writing. There are 8 of each. **Tip – You can print the black and white ones on color paper/card to change the background. ** Once the fraction cards and covers have been printed and cut out, laminate back to back. Challenge cards –There are 8 challenge cards. Print and cut out. Challenge card covers – You have two options. Option 1 – Black and white or option two –Blue background with green writing. There are 8 of each. **Tip – You can print the black and white ones on color paper/card to change the background. ** Answer cards to the challenge fraction cards is also provided. You may print as they are for your reference or cut and laminate. Each answer has a number in the bottom left hand corner to match the challenge card. Aliens – 6 Aliens (2 Spare) – Print, cut and laminate. **Hint – Printing on card stock will help aid the durability and life span before you would need to reprint. ** There is a dice included if you are unable to get one. You will need to print, cut and stick/tape it together. If you are printing this dice please make sure not to cut the flaps off as you need them to stick/tape the dice together. Place value task cards have multiple uses. Teachers need easy yet effective ways to meet the needs of all students of all different abilities. These place value task cards focus around the 2.NBT.2 CCSS. What is 2.NBT.2? 2.NBT.2 forms part of the CCSS (Common Core State Standard). It was created as an effort led by state to improve the educational outcome of students in Math and English/Language Arts (ELA). **What’s included with these place value task cards? ** 36 task cards with answer key cards. The top left hand corner is numbered with the answer cards matching. The bottom left hand corner has ‘2.NBT.2’. This makes it easier to not mix the task card up.
