A poster which displays three history topics in each year group - covering the National Curriculum History Framework. This resource could be used as a poster around school to remind staff of their historical topics or could be used as part of a staff handbook/guide around history. Alongside this resource I have also created a [Primary History Curriculum Map](http://
www.tes.com/teaching-resource/primary-history-curriculum-progression-map-12931884) which can further expand on each topic and the concepts that run through this curriculum.
If you are interested in more detail on these topics then look no further! At Learning Through Time I am creating for each topic:
A Medium Term Plan
A Knowledge Organiser
A series of 6 Lesson Plans
Additional Resources
This file is a PDF and can not be edited.
This lesson is the fifth in its sequence and focuses on the history of the teddy bear. In this lesson children will learn what inspired the teddy bear and different characters through time that have been inspired by the teddy bear.
This resource is the second in the Toys history unit. This session has slides for the teacher to use when teaching which can be edited.
These slides are editable and have a structure of:
Teacher Information

Learning
Task - with WAGOLL (what a good one looks like) and sentence stems
Plenary
This lesson would work best if you have toys in class that the children can see and touch.
This resource is a knowledge organiser for a toys topic in either primary history or topic. This can be stuck in children’s books as a divider so that topics are seperate and can be used as an assessment point. Within this resource it is printed as a PDF and as a Powerpoint Presentation so it is editable.
This resource is the third in the Toys history unit. This session has slides for the teacher to use when teaching and a worksheet that teachers can use for the main task. These slides are well designed and allow teachers to introduce the topic of toys through images and through discussion.
These slides are editable and have a structure of:
Teacher Information
Concepts
Vocabulary
Hook
Learning
Task
Plenary

This lesson is the fourth in it’s series and is going back further in time to look at the toys that Grandma’s and Grandad’s played with. From this children are to investigate and discuss the similarities and differences in toys through teachers bringing to attention the materials that toys were created with.
This resource includes a PDF worksheet of an advert so that children can draw a toy and explain why they would want to play with this toy. This resource is differentiated through a different background (to be used as a display in the classroom) or using sentence prompts.

Within this booklet there are maths activities, based on counting to 10 and 20 as well as adding within 10. Elsewhere there is a writing and art activity.
Any feedback would be appreciated on this resource and taken into account when updating the resource in the future.
This resource is a PPT designed to be interactive. When clicking on each toy the children will be taken to each toy with a fact on when that toy was created. This resource can be used within a lesson as a discussion point or for a group activity around continuous provision.
Any feedback would be appreciated as I aim to create more resources like this in the future!
This toy set is to be used in continuous provision in KS1 for a game. Children can either play through the toys by playing snap (requiring photocopying) or through a game of guess the toy. Children are to pick a toy and others have to guess. To prompt this game there is a question sheet so children can start the game.
In the run up to SATS 2024 and beyond this resource aims to break down each objective for teachers and children alike. Each objective is broken down into modelling steps and in visuals so that teachers and children can understand each step and gaps can be stopped prior to SATS 2024.
This resource includes a PPT of the resource which is editable as well as a PDF which can be printed for display/scaffold purposes.
