This booklet is designed to accompany GCSE students through both year 10 and 11 in preparation for the writing exam as part of the new GCSEs. There are 11 example essay prompts with space to plan and draft for each. There is also several pages with extra planning pages which can be photocopied as sheets and space for extra example bullet points.

Student generally enjoy the competitive nature of the game and can be useful in encouraging reluctant speakers. Creative group writing activity to encourage students to use a range of tenses and vocabulary in their writing. Once completed ask each group to present their work to the class, encourage active listening by gathering feedback from listening groups or asking them to answer questions about the other groups’ work. This paired activity develops students speaking and listening skills while giving them an opportunity to practise using the passé composé with general activities vocabulary. This quiz can be used at the end of the topic Healthy Living. It is ideal for years 9 up and is mainly focused on vocabulary and grammar from Studio 3 Rouge Module 2. The quiz is split into 3 sections with the number of points available displayed on each slide. Answers are given for sections 2 and 3 on the following slide.
