Math Center: Fractions Development – In Words & Parts of a Whole is a matching activity designed to build both a conceptual and working understanding that fractions can be represented in many ways. This resource is ideal for independent math centers or math station rotations. Instructions: Print, laminate and cut the individual cards. Mix the cards. Using the imbedded arrows, students create a match of three when they find three representations (in words, fraction and parts of a whole) that have the same value.
