Comprehensive study (70 Slide PowerPoint) of the play and plenty of resources/activities for teaching the play. I have used this with high ability KS3 classes but it could be tweaked to use with KS4.

Specifically tailored for Edexcel IGCSE - a comprehensive (100 slides) unit of work for the novel. Looks through all key elements and characters, analysing in detail in a very user and pupil friendly format. Context, authorial method and themes are all analysed. Looking at crafting thoughtful points and an extensive range of key quotes is included in the PowerPoint.

A comprehensive study of the novella (over 100 slides) including revision materials, over 50 possible essay questions, quote banks, context revision, etc. All initial lessons are planned chronologically to use alongside reading the text. Revision materials then look at character, theme, context, etc.

A comprehensive resource (115 slides) which explores Death of a Salesman - focus on tragedy and the AQA Literature B spec, but the study of the play is detailed and explores all aspects of it as a dramatic work. Used with A Level Literature classes but can easy be modified. Very clear chronological structure and loads of activities - used to teach the play over the course of about 8 weeks. I’ve also created a timeline based on key events in Willy’s life we can infer from the play.

A comprehensive (93 slide) PowerPoint and resources to teach the play - I have used this with a high ability year 7 class for years but could be used across KS3.

An analysis of the poem Disabled - questions/prompts to help pupils annotate individually or in groups, with a separate PP including all teacher annotations -can be taught in multiple ways. Particularly useful for Edexcel IGCSE poetry anothology (works well with Out, Out or Bright Lights of Sarajevo - see shop for resources)

Used with a 5th Year/Year 11 class at a high performing school (A/A* targets). Used over a half term along with reading the novel. PowerPoint about 60 slides with quotes, tasks, context, assessments and revision. Various worksheets and revision notes attached.

A comprehensive booklet which can be used in lessons, as homework or for revision. Plenty of revision material and activities to complete in the booklet. Used with my Year 11 top set this year.

A fairly comprehensive look at Gothic literature. Several PowerPoints from a Gothic scheme I created put together - about 4 weeks teaching with a mid-high ability. Extracts used from Dracula, Frankenstein, The Raven and several non-fiction articles centering on Jack the Ripper (especially useful as a bridge to the new GCSE curriculum). A high level of challenge for KS3 with plenty of tasks and information in the unit of work. Analysis of Victorian texts (reading) and creative writing covered.

A detailed analysis of the poem with prompts/questions for each stanza so pupils can annotate individually or in groups - later slides also include teacher annotation so can be taught in multiple ways. Works very well to teach alongside Disabled/Out, Out if you are doing the coursework component as well (Edexcel IGCSE) - resources for both in shop.

At least a couple of lessons worth of material here on speech writing - looking at both reading and writing skills. Extracts from William Wilberforce and Martin Luther King Jnr included. Relevant historical context and activities included in PowerPoint.

A comprehensive look at review writing - includes a couple of weeks worth of lessons and resources to be annotated. Video link embedded into PowerPoint. Used very successfully with two GCSE classes. Useful for the writing section of the new spec.

A useful resource for teaching and revising Dracula across all key stages - chapter summaries, key quotes, themes and character descriptions included. Designed to be glued into one page of exercise book for easy reference.

Uses material from Samantha Brick interviews/appearances to help craft an argument. Also useful for class debates.

Lessons focusing on The Knight's Tale and The Pardoner's Tale. Also a lesson on context/Chaucer. Easily a good few lessons worth of material. Used with a high ability year 8 class.

In depth analysis of the poem Coca Cola Coco Frio by Martin Espada. Language, form and structure all analysed in detail. Techniques used by the poet explored and complete annotation of the poem included. End of unit assessment question and sentence starters also included on last slide. Used with a year 8 classes (both lower and higher ability) but plenty of stretch and challenge in there and PP is easily adaptable.

Purpose built lesson looking at how tension is built in TKAM. Used for an observation with very good feedback.
