Christmas maths - tessellations. Christmas themed tessellation activity for students to complete in class or for homework. A great consolidation activity that can engage students at Christmas. This could more than a whole lesson if you get the students to tessellate a design and then also colour it (great for displays!). Includes: Christmas tree (moderately easy) Bauble (medium) Candy cane (easy) Christmas stocking with curved edges (hard) Geometric christmas stocking (easy) Elf (Hard) Santas head (medium) present (easy) For each shape there is the following types of sheets: An A4 portrait sheet with small squares and a small shape to start students off An A4 portrait sheet with big squares and a big shape to start students off A small template which is approx 1/8 of A4 A big template which are on their own A4 page Examples of how to tessellate the shape/pre-made colouring pages for students that are really struggling to tessellate the shape correctly. This Rugby World cup resource has a wide variety of maths activities, so there is something suitable for every ability level in KS3 and KS4. You could give adding and subtracting activities to your set 3 Year 7 class and Pythagoras activities to your higher tier GCSE classes. Help engage your students with current, relevant resources. The skills included so far (in order of difficulty) are: ★Filling in missing data in two way tables (games won/lost/drawn in the last 12 months) ★Adding and subtracting (Shirt numbers - Numbers up to 23) ★Measuring angles (angle that the ball has been kicked to go over the goal) ★Co-ordinates in 4 quadrants - identifying co-ordinates(how does the player avoid the opposition tacklers) ★Co-ordinates in 4 quadrants - plotting points ★Multiplying and adding with 2 digit numbers (Points scored) ★Substitution (Point scored in a game) ★Interpreting data from a table and drawing conclusions (linked to missing data - games won/lost/drawn in the last 12 months) ★Calculating Percentages (win/loss/draw from games in the last year) ★Drawing composite bar charts (win/loss/draw percentage from games in the last year - linked to calculating percentages activity) ★Pyathagoras theorem (distance of kicks) I will be adding further activities to this pack in the near future. Each activity is presented as a standalone activity in order to best differentiate for your classes OR you can print off the booklet which uses activties where some follow on from each other. The booklet does have every activity in which may not be suitable for some classes. If this is the case print off the pdf BUT choose which pages you want to print.

Use the order of operations (BIDMAS) to reveal a secret maths joke. Make your students feel like a spy trying to crack a code in a fun and novel way for students to practice the order of operations. This product contains 3 different levels of difficulty: order of operations with multiplying, dividing, adding and subtracting - BIDMAS with brackets and the 4 operations - BIDMAS including indices. Differentiated worksheets on Enlargements for students to complete in class. Skills include positive enlargements, negative enlargements and fractional enlargements all colour coded for difficulty. This is most suitable for Challenging KS3 students and Higher Tier GCSE. I also have a one suitable for KS3 and Foundation tier which only includes positive and fractional scale factors (The questions are different on each version so if you buy both products there are no duplicates). In this product 4 levels of difficulty have been included: Blue (easy) -Enlarge an object by an integer scale factor from a centre of enlargement Gold (medium) -Enlarge an object by a fractional scale factor from a centre of enlargement.
