GREAT COVER OR END OF TERM LESSON This resource is good for a cover lesson or end of term treat. Channel 5 produced a documentary on Primark and it covers a lot of the functional areas of business, namely Marketing and Operations. The download comes with a Word doc as well as PDF. Both of which include an link to documentary, answer guide and question sheet for students. I would generally post this to Google Classroom on separate document or print two per page for the students to have physically. MARKETING PROJECT OUTLINE Marketing lends itself well to students working on a project in a group. This is a fairly random one, but I once had a class who were obsessed with meal deals for some reason and asked if we could do our Marketing project on them. After some research into it, here it is. Much of a meal deal is already set out for them, so to keep it interesting you really need to push them to think about exactly what they are including in it. For example, I had a group that went for the ‘premium’ segment, but wanted to include things like Quavers and chicken bites which didn’t make sense with the demographic of premium meal deal buyers. **There’s plenty in this project for them to think about believe it or not! ** It comes with a PDF brief to introduce meal deals and where the market is currently at. As well as some slides for you to run through with them which explains each task. IDEAL FOR CLASSROOM DISPLAYS OR TO GLUE IN BOOKS / FOLDERS For OCR, I use PEI for any three marker ‘analyse’ question - Point, Evidence, Impact. Students find this simple and easy to follow. This handout summarises exam technique for students - providing a step by step process as well as sentence starters.
