This formed part of an A2 revion session of model exam questions. Exam questions answered surrounded: Colour in transition metal complexes. Recrystallisation. Titrations. Concentrations & colorimetry. N.B. The maths in chemistry section applies to the calculations for A-Level chemistry book by Jim Clark of 'chemguide.com' http://www.amazon.co.uk/Calculations-AS-A-Level-Chemistry/dp/0582411270.

I made this Powerpoint for a revision course for A2 chemists in Easter. It is specifically designed for OCR Salters B Chemistry. The topics that it covers are: - Transition metals and ligands. - Rates of reaction calculations. - Redox Calculations. - Equilibrium. - pH calculations and buffer solutions. - Arenes and azo dyes. = Polymer properties. N.B. If I have used anyone else's content inappropriately pleases notify me and I shall rectify. I have certainly used content gained else-ware as well as my own - please notify me so I can give credit where it is due.

This is a Powerpoint that served as part of a revision session I ran with A2 chemists. I used 'molymods,' and they had to makes transitions between all the functional groups in the Powerpoint using and molymods, whilst suggesting reagents. Tweet @Mr_S_WHSG

Analysis of H1NMR, IR & MS

(3)
Here I have designed a task for A-level pupils to analyse and decipher the structures of 8 molecules. They are given the empirical formula, the MS, the IR and the H1NMR. This is all the information they require. The answers are below: 1. Ethanol 2. Propionic acid 3. Acetone 4. Methyl propionate 5. Ethyl acetate 6. Ethanal 7. Toluene 8. 2-Butanol. * In the answers I haven't necessarily used the IUPAC names. Tweet me @Mr_S_WHSG if I have made any errors!
