This resource provides clear and easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions on drawing an eye. It includes templates and examples for students to use so they can draw their own. It is an appropriate art lesson for teachers wishing to support their students to develop an understanding of tone and shape and to work on their observational drawing skills by referring to a subject that is accessible to all. Pages: 7 (1 step by step 3x templates with and without grids) Page 1: Step-by-Step Guide Features a series of steps students can follow in the process of drawing an eye. Each step is numbered, with written instructions and accompanying images. This gridded image and template offers a simplified approach to observational drawing for students if desired, lines can be ruled on each template. The reference is ‘broken down’ into individual squares so students can focus on one at a time, instead of needing to take in the whole image. Students work through the Step-by-Step Guide (Page One), executing their drawing in the gridded template while referring to the gridded image reference provided. Each page has a space for some research questions once they have completed the drawing.
