This activity sheet provides students with a table of different ‘textures’ or patterns, which they’re challenged to integrate into a template of Van Gogh’s Starry Night to create their own iteration of this famous image. Learn color blending and pointillism techniques using an outline of Van Gogh’s Sunflowers. Great as a sub art lesson, as an early finisher or as part of your art curriculum. This activity is a fantastic introduction for students to working with color, understanding color theory, and the pointillism technique. Students are provided with a reference image of Van Gogh’s famous painting, Sunflowers, and a table of the various color combinations to include within it. A template enables students to create their own iteration using the pointillism technique within guiding outlines.
