A rather tricky task putting together a family tree based off of people’s explanations of how they are related to Nuria. A vocab bank on page 2 will help. Write the name of each family member in the box on the tree (or beside). Colour code the box according to male/female. Some boxes will not be filled. A perfect task before moving onto creating your own family trees. Note: Some family vocabuary has been left out of the box on page 2. Going over step-parents and siblings will be essential.

Something for my year 13s who will be analysing lots of simbolism and messages in SCW posters from the 30s.

A resource to work in with the Hodder unit on smart phones. A starter to explore the vocabulary of what our smartphones allow us to do.

A grid to revise some thematic content. In column one students clarify what they know about the theme in English. In column two they write down any key vocabulary using vocabulary lists from Hodder/Kerboodle and in column three we write down a fact gleaned from a Boletín using the index to cherry pick editions.

Ideal for GCSE and AS level. There’s a focus on the difference between the future simple and near future.

A back from half-term resource to remind students of Lorca’s personal context and get them searching for truth in fiction.

Just something I put together for my KS2 classes. I haven't included anything about cultural Easter traditions as I personally would introduce that verbally or perhaps with a video (plenty online). This is more about Easter vocabulary. The Blockbuster quiz is always a hit. The '?' boxes have challenges underneath, if the challenge is completed then the challenger can win a mini-egg or something similar. The general aim is to get from one side of the grid to the other but usually you can improvise and turn it into a general 'clear the boxes' activity. The boxes are triggered so tapping the outside blue box will give way to the answer underneath.

First lesson for use with Mira GCSE book. Reading comp attached as well, text was taken from a school website so it is authentic (slightly adapted).

Whole lesson based upon writing and reading in three tenses finishing off with speed-dating.

A nice way to start the lesson and get the class focused. First activity is a simple 'spot the odd one out' followed by the same slides copied but with the answers, including pictures. Second activity is a 'what's behind the box' activity.

Included is: 1) The eggs themselves with text box descriptions - stick the descriptions to the back of the eggs and laminate them! 2) A table so that you can document all the news words learnt via egg hatching, this could be used to make a cool display. 3) A teachers note explaining how it all works.
