After seventeen years working in Learning Support, I have recently made the decision to terminate my position of Higher Level Support Assistant in a high school in order to take a break and utilise this time to research other career opportunities available to me. During my time working in a high school, my focus has been Special Educational Needs, specialising in English/Literacy. For the last five years I have managed staff in the Student Services Department and developed the skills of those associated with the role of the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator. The resources I have created are intended to allow students with cognition and learning difficulties and English as an Additional Language to access the curriculum using differentiated/dyslexia friendly resources.
