This is the 2nd lesson in the 3rd theme of the new WJEC/Eduqas 2016 specification for geography. This lesson looks at different types of plate margins and the different hazards that form at each of them but also the large scale features that form at a destructive and constructive plate margin. This is the 7th lesson in the 3rd theme of the new WJEC/Eduqas 2016 specification for geography. This lesson looks at different strategies that can be used to predict volcanic eruptions, what hazard mapping is and the 3P’s. There is an assessed homework that pupils should complete as homework and this is usually given out and handed in before the revision session, so during the revision session I would go through the assessed homework and anything else that pupils didn’t understand. The assessed homework would count towards their overall grade for that theme. A detailed markscheme and grade boundaries are included. This is the twentieth and thirtieth lesson in the second theme of the new WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 specification for geography. This lesson looks at the retail section of the topic. This lesson can be done in the full hour or to make it easier because there is a lot of tasks you can split it up over two lessons. The lesson covers where retail occurs, different features of retailing and hour technology has changed the way we shop. The lesson contains a range of activities all aimed to help with pupils exam practise. The plenary also contains an exam question but it focus on “how far do you agree?” style of questions, where pupils fill in the planning sheet first before answering the question. The lesson, like others still focus on exam practise as this is the easiest way to get pupils to focus on their weaknesses. This is the eleventh lesson in the second theme of the new WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 specification for geography. This lesson looks at brownfield site developments and pupils judge if they are a sustainable way of regenerating an area. Pupils look at this lesson through the context of Cardiff Bay. There are multiple slides (that I recommend you print instead of going through them all) on the history of Cardiff Bay and the reasons why it went into decline. Pupils then look at the advantages and disadvantages of the development by categorising the. The lesson finishes with exam practise. This is the fifteenth lesson in the second theme of the new WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 specification for geography This lesson looks at global cities and urbanisation. It focuses on what urbanisation is, the features of a global city and how a global city may lose its status. There are loads of different activities that help pupils engage with the content and also at the same time practise their exam skills. I have also started to include the “#excellentgeographer” into some of the slides- (This idea was taken from the amazing Jen Monk- @Jennnnnn_x). The worksheet contains a lot of graph practise, as well as another 8 marker with a clear and focused 8 marker mark scheme on it. This lesson is the fourth lesson of the river's section of Theme 1 of the new WJEC Geography GCSE course. This lesson pack includes: --> A powerpoint presentation that goes through the formation of a meander and an oxbow lake. Tasks throughout to get pupils consolidating the information that they have learnt and tasks that help pupils to recall what I have gone through in the lesson. This is the assessed test for the 6th Theme of the WJEC/WJEC Eduqas 2016 Specification for geography. This assessment contains a range of different knowledge and skills based questions from a range of different exam boards. The assessed test is set out like the exam paper so pupils can get familiar with how/ what their exam paper will be like. The markscheme is detailed which will help you as teachers to be able to mark the assessed test with ease. This is the assessment used to test pupil understanding of this unit of work. It uses a wide range of different exam questions to cover all aspects of the course… BUT I DOESN’T COVER EVERYTHING- just like the exam it will only cover a few topics. The mark-scheme is included and is done/ set out very similarly the ones published by the exam board. I have also attached a feedback sheet (The template of the table came from Mrs Humanities). This is a full lesson with a PowerPoint presentation and summary homework based on limits of accuracy. The PPT contains examples, a starter, a pleanary, an exercise to help pupils practise what they have just learnt and a range of different exam questions that range from the small marked ones to the more problem-solving ones. The summary homework contains a wide range of questions to help pupils to summarise what they have learnt but also to see as a teacher what they have and haven't understood. The summary homework also has a mark scheme to help you to mark it quickly.

This pack also contains a summary homework, a mark scheme for it, a test at the end to check pupils understanding by using past paper questions and lastly a mark scheme for it.
