A power point to help pupils to get to grips with drawing, interpreting and using Venn diagrams to calculate probabilities. This lesson also contains a worksheet with a range of different questions that could be asked in an exam but also an extension task to show pupils the types of exam questions that can be asked. The answers for the worksheet is on the PPT and the mark scheme for the extension is also attached.

This is the 5th lesson in the 3rd theme of the new WJEC/Eduqas 2016 specification for geography. This lesson looks at the 2010 Mount Merapi Eruption in Java. The worksheet is to be used for the starter and the rest of the lesson. There are questions on the sheet for pupils to answer to help develop exam practise. The powerpoint contains all the basic information for the students to know (this can be done as a feedback task). This lesson is the 4th lesson in the fifth theme of the new WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 specification for geography. This lesson looks at how low pressure systems causes extreme weather events. Pupils explore this through looking at South Asian Monsoons and the 2015 Cyclone Pam. The activities for most of the work is on the powerpoint and the worksheets are attached. A test that assesses pupils understanding of the river’s section of THEME 1. This test uses past exam questions from WJEC and AQA (because the question format is fairly similar) exam boards. This is a full lesson with a PowerPoint presentation and summary homework based on limits of accuracy. The PPT contains examples, a starter, a pleanary, an exercise to help pupils practise what they have just learnt and a range of different exam questions that range from the small marked ones to the more problem-solving ones. The summary homework contains a wide range of questions to help pupils to summarise what they have learnt but also to see as a teacher what they have and haven't understood. The summary homework also has a mark scheme to help you to mark it quickly.

This lesson covered a basic overview of what vocabulary they need to know for the 2.1 key question (this is done as a starter), looks at sparsely populated areas and densely populated areas in Wales and looks migration with push and pull factors (helps pupils understand the basic link between urban and rural area). Pupils summarise their knowledge into an exam question that covers both a skills-based question and a suggest question. This lesson is the first lesson that I taught for the river's section of Theme 1 of the new WJEC Geography GCSE course. This lesson pack includes the starter worksheet that looks at the key terms that the students need to know for the drainage basin section of the lesson. Worksheets for the hydrological sections. The powerpoint that runs through what they need to know about the drainage basin and hydrological cycle. This lesson can be done in 58 minutes if stick fully to the timings outlined in the lesson plan, but we all know this can be hard to do, so this lesson can be split up into 2- where the first lesson would then look at the drainage basin and the second lesson would look at the hydrological cycle.
