Mark scheme is included with grade boundaries that mimic real grade boundaries so pupils can see an accurate representation of their grade. Note: One of the tasks due involve the WJEC 2016 specification textbook, if your school doesn't have that then obviously the task can be changed. Any feedback would be great.

This is an end of year 8 exam paper but can be used for year 9 classes. Things it includes; Fill in the missing number- e.g ______ + 23.5 = 227.58 BIDMAS Percentages, Fractions and Decimals Multiplication and Division Area and circumference of a circle- (Can be changed to suit what you class has done) Volume of a cube Subtracting fractions Algebra- Expanding brackets Expanding and simplifying Venn Diagrams- Sets, Intersection Correlation Ratio All these topics can be changed to suit what your class has done and you can change the amount that you want your pupils to do. This can be used for year 9 classes and can be used as a revision aid for SATS or National Tests in Wales. I used this for my year 9 class to help them to revise for their NNT as well as using it for my year 8 class.

This homework is for top ability year 9 classes but also for year 10 and 11. The homework covers; 1. Area and Perimeter of a shape, 2. Circumference and Area of a circle, 3. Arc length, 4. Sector Area, 5. Volume of prism/ cylinder, 6. Surface area of a cylinder. Each question has the formula on the side and a question for them to complete. This would help them to remember each of the formulas but to also help them to practise their skills. The homework can be changed to suit your lessons but can also be used as an end of topic revision lesson or given to a pupil that you think might be struggling with the work.
