This is the 5th lesson in the 3rd theme of the new WJEC/Eduqas 2016 specification for geography. This lesson looks at the 2010 Mount Merapi Eruption in Java. The worksheet is to be used for the starter and the rest of the lesson. There are questions on the sheet for pupils to answer to help develop exam practise. The powerpoint contains all the basic information for the students to know (this can be done as a feedback task). This lesson is the first lesson that I taught for the river's section of Theme 1 of the new WJEC Geography GCSE course. This lesson pack includes the starter worksheet that looks at the key terms that the students need to know for the drainage basin section of the lesson. Worksheets for the hydrological sections. The powerpoint that runs through what they need to know about the drainage basin and hydrological cycle. This lesson can be done in 58 minutes if stick fully to the timings outlined in the lesson plan, but we all know this can be hard to do, so this lesson can be split up into 2- where the first lesson would then look at the drainage basin and the second lesson would look at the hydrological cycle. A test that assesses pupils understanding of the river’s section of THEME 1. This test uses past exam questions from WJEC and AQA (because the question format is fairly similar) exam boards. A PPT which covers 2 lessons on factorising quadratics- The first lesson looks at factorising quadratics like x^2 + 2 + 4 and the second lesson looks at factorising quadratics when there is a number in front of x^2. Each lesson has a starter which focuses on exam practice, a range of different examples, an exercise, exam practice and a plenary. This pack also contains a summary homework and mark scheme

A resource pack that helps pupils to get to grips with substituting numbers into an expression. Starter: Exam Practice- help pupils to recap over the basic questions in the exam that they SHOULD NOT get wrong. Examples: Explains to pupils how to substitute numbers into an expression- use of colours to show where each number came from. Main task: Worksheet to work on the knowledge they just gained and to put what they had learnt into practice. (Answers on the PPT) Extension: Building on what they have learnt into exam questions. This lesson focus on changing the subject of a formula. The lesson pack includes a PPT, a worksheet and an extensions tasks (all with answers). The PPT has a starter which focuses on exam practice, a range of examples that cover different types of changing the formula questions and a plenary to give pupils time to reflect on the lesson.

This lesson is the first lesson in the second theme of the new WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 specification for geography. This lesson covered a basic overview of what vocabulary they need to know for the 2.1 key question (this is done as a starter), looks at sparsely populated areas and densely populated areas in Wales and looks migration with push and pull factors (helps pupils understand the basic link between urban and rural area). Pupils summarise their knowledge into an exam question that covers both a skills-based question and a suggest question. The following revision guide covers everything that pupils would need to know for the theme 3 topic. In this revision guide, it gives exam tips, definitions that they may need to know, chapter review questions to test pupils understanding of the chapter and attached at the back of the booklet is past exam questions on the unit. This booklet, however, doesn't cover any case studies as I know personally different schools cover different things.
